The North Devon Festival is rapidly establishing itself as one of the key UK festivals. It is a celebration of the rich and diverse cultural life in North Devon, with a wide range of activities that reflect the character of the region.
June 17th-19th Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival
July 1st-10th. Exeter Summer Festival
July 7th-10th Plymouth Race Week. The new biennial sailing event, planned to be on the scale of Cowes and Cork week, utilising the City’s unrivalled waterfront and fabulous sailing waters, will be centered round the historic Barbican area of Plymouth. The competing yachts will be berthed in, and close to, Sutton Harbour with a tented race village infsorporating entertainment and shops no more then a couple of hundred yards away on the adjoining Commercial Wharf overlooking Queen Anne’s Battery.
July 23rd.-July 31st. Torbay Carnival Week. This ever popular carnival week returns to Paignton Green for its 101st year! There will be plenty to keep you entertained, including the Carnival Procession.
July 23rd. Mid Devon Show The Showground Hartnoll Farm Post Hill near Tiverton. The best one day agricultural show in the west! The Mid Devon Show offers a fun day out for all the family with main ring star attractions - the Rockin' Horse Stunt Team, The Rockwood Dog Display Team, Jonathan Marshall Falconry and much more.

July 29th-Aug 5th.Sidmouth Folk Week. The best of folk music, dance and song in a holiday at the seaside in East Devon. Concerts, dances, ceilidhs, dance displays, crafts, workshops, sessions, street theatre. Something for all the family with lots of special events for children.
Aug 3rd. North Devon Show.Umberleigh Barton Farm on the A377 at Umberleigh Great Torrington North Devon. See the animals, craft, food & trade tents at North Devon’s premier agricultural show.
Aug 5th.-Aug 7th.Torbay Steam Fair.Churston Village, Torquay. Steam working and vintage gathering - steam demonstrations, traction engines, vintage cars, commercials, moterbikes, military tractors, stationary engines, fairground rides and more!
Aug 16th - Aug 17th. British Firework Championships.
Now in its 15th year, the internationally renowned championships will take place on Plymouth Hoe. Entertainment will be starting from 6.30pm courtesy of Heart Devon, with live music, fairground rides and refreshment stalls.
The first firework displays will start at around 9.30pm each evening as dusk falls.
Aug.11th. Beer Regatta Day.

Dawlish Carnival is one of the - if not the - biggest event of it’s kind in the South West of England.With over 10 events running each day throughout the week from 10.00am onwards it really is a show that is not to be missed!
Aug 25th.-Sept 3rd. Shaldon Regatta.9 days of 120 events to take part in, watch and enjoy on the river and beach where the Shaldon to Teignmouth ferry lands.

Nov 5th-7.30pm.Bonfire and firework night Plymouth Hoe.
See a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display. The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm with the fireworks being launched at 8pm. There will also be fairground rides and food stalls available all evening.
Nov 19th.Torquay Christmas Carnival
The famous Torquay Christmas Carnival is fun for all the family with fantastic floats, music, entertainment and Christmas Lights Switch on.
Nov 20th.Clovelly Herring Festival,This Herring Festival is held in support of sustainable fishing by traditional methods and to celebrate the herring.10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Normal admission charges apply, which include all entertainment.
